Stripes and Frills Situation

Although my style is most times simple, occasionally, I appreciate a clash of patterns and or colours. This soft denim skirt is currently one of my favourites in my closet because of its uniqueness. I particularly love the cut and fade in the skirt – this adds a little bit of fun and lets you explore when styling.

In the bid to stay true to my simplicity, I decided to style this skirt with a plain green tank top. The first shirt I tried on with it had frills, so there was a clash. However, this tank top keeps the overall look simple, making the skirt the real star of the outfit.

On a different day, I’ll also style the skirt with a plain t-shirt and some trainers. The t-shirt and trainers will give a more everyday look. This skirt can be styled in so many ways depending on occasion and mood.

This look can be worn to lunch dates, out with friends, small gatherings and even just to run errands on a feel good day. The good thing about this look is that it is comfortable and reliable. Although it is a little dressy, you do not feel like you are doing too much in the streets – It is chic. I am definitely all about this stripes and frills situation.
