Nothing looks more bad ass than a well tailored suit. The same goes with all other pieces of clothing to be honest. Baggy clothes can be fun to dress up and play around in, however, I always find myself running back to well tailored pieces. Tailored pieces bring out your shape and flaunt your figure in all the right places.
Although this piece isn’t too figure flaunting, it is well tailored and that’s what I love most about it. I also love the fact that it is white and sleeveless. This makes the blazer dress more versatile, as it can be worn on its own, styled with jeans or worn with a shirt under as I have styled in this post.
This sleek blazer dress can be word from day to night, so it’s definitely a winner for me. I am particular about pieces that can be worn time without number to different occasions and still look bomb. Blazer dresses can be styled to work, for meetings, to lunch with girlfriends, for a power brunch with your significant other or even to dinner and maybe even the club. It all depends on your additions and subtractions to the overall look.
Blazer dresses boast of so much sophistication and class, and this is why they are one of my favourite things to throw on. They are also not your average girly dress, so be rest assured to feel like a boss woman when wearing them.
The good thing about blazer dresses is that they can also be worn all year round in pretty much a wide variety of weather climates. In much hotter regions such as Nigeria where I am currently, a blazer dress is suitable as worn in this post or over a tank top and jeans. In much colder climates, a nice turtle neck will go perfectly underneath, finished off with nice tights and nice leather booties. Also, because layering is a thing and most blazer dresses are light, in much colder climates and at the peak of winter, a coat can also be thrown on to complete this fashionable look.
Do you like my blazer dress? How would you style yours?
