Fringed Hem & Bow Flats

For the first time in a while, not sure how to start this post, but I am just going to keep writing until it all makes sense. I hope you all had a great week and enough reason to enjoy the weekend.

Speaking about making sense, sometimes things happen in life and you just don’t get why they happen to you or why they should happen at all. In those moments when you seek clarity and you go blank looking for the right answers to a certain event, it is okay to scream and cry and let it all out.

Indeed it is difficult to remember better events in times like these, however, positive energy somehow gets you through. I am not sure who is reading this right now and needs some sort of motivation to get through life, but I know I do – so I am sharing this open thought with you and maybe someday after today, I can come back and read this out loud to myself too.

but I know this too shall pass, so I am trying to focus on positive things like this amazing jacket I snagged last month reduced from $300 to $30.

I knew I did not need a new coat, but it was heavily marked down and there was no way I was going to walk out the store with such a cool find and amazing bargain.

Funny how I set out to watch a movie that night and I also wanted to window shop at my favourite H&M in Atlanta but H&M would have been closed by the time I got out of my movie. So I brushed it off anyway, since I wasn’t planning on spending money.

However, when I got to the theatre, the movie I wanted to see was sold out, so I had to pass time and I decided to go to H&M finally. I still wasn’t going to just shop or buy unless I absolutely loved the item.

I searched through the sale section and didn’t see anything I liked. Just as I walked out, I saw this coat and almost put it down because it had the full price still marked.

But my mum always tells us to ask. You don’t loose anything from asking. So guess what I did? I asked a sales associate and he told me it was on sale to re-confirm at the counter. But how much off could it possibly be? Its original price was $300 so I wasn’t expecting anything less than a $100 off.

I got to the counter and the guy there rang it up at $30. I couldn’t believe my eyes or his mouth. I got an extra phone discount I could claim which brought it down to $26. HOW SWAAAY, HOW? *lol*

I also got this cute nude top for $10 from $30 and I knew right from the store I had to pair them together in a look. I absolutely love how they turned out and I can’t wait to milk my well spent money out of both items.

Moral of my story? Never give up even when things don’t seem to go your way. Keep trying and ask if you need to. The end is always better than the beginning.

Thanks for reading this letter to myself and anyone else going through rough waters. Keep going …
