Check Mate

Hi beautiful people,

so it is the day after Valentines day. As usual, every year on the 14th, the internet goes crazy with all the love stories and posts of presents from significant others. However, did you all know that valentines day also known as Saint Valentines day was originated by the Western Christian Liturgical and it was actually a day set out to honour an early saint Valentinus. It only became a associated with romantic love in the 14th century and since then has become a commercial day for love in more recent years.

Yes, it is an amazing feeling to love and be loved on this day and to get showered with presents but we often forget that love should be a daily ritual. Valentines day has become so commercialised that we (including me) all focus on the presents we receive rather than the true meaning of what it all means.

Dating or not, we all should be mindful of loving one another because there is way too much chaos in the world right now to keep breeding hate. That being said, love unconditionally and love without a doubt. Show people you care about them, because tomorrow is not promised. People are here one day and gone tomorrow within the blink of an eye.

Love including strangers. The picture above is a representation of what everyday should be like. This guy photobombed my shoot, but because I was too busy having fun, I did not even recognize till much later.

Doesn’t it look like we have known each other for a substantial amount of time?

If the world loved even in little events like this one, we would all get along so well.
