Before I dive into todays post, can we just acknowledge how fast this year went by? Like how is it already November tomorrow? WHAT!!! It’s almost time to reflect and create New Year resolutions.
Ofcourse we do have festivities lined up before then though. It’s Halloween, so happy halloween to all those who celebrate it (I never really have). The festive holidays start rolling in after now, we have Thanksgiving round the corner too.
Speaking of festive holidays and Thanksgiving, todays outfit post suits the occasion. This dress is very festive like. The sequinned details on the dress and the colour screams holiday.
I would certainly wear this dress to a Thanksgiving dinner or to a black tie event during the Christmas holiday.
This dress comes in yellow, teal (what I have on) and purple. I like all the colours but I felt the teal would look really good with my skin tone, so I decided on teal. You hardly see me in black because I feel like it makes me look slimmer than I already am, however, once in a while, I make exceptions – especially when there is a pop of colour involved.
I particularly like the mesh and sequin detail in the top part of the dress – that is what makes this dress for me. The dress can also be styled with coloured shoes, but I wanted to keep it simple, so I wore black and also kept my bag simple with a clear strapped clutch. To dress this look up another level, ditch the trendy choker for a statement necklace.
