It’s been a while since I posted a recipe on here, I know! That’s because every time I cook I never have time to actually take pictures from start to scratch or write a record of my ingredients.
This time, I made an extra effort to write down the ingredients used and the methods.
I craved ribs for the longest time, so I decided to make some myself instead of going out to eat. It is much cheaper when you cook yourself.
The recipe for these mouthwatering ribs are as follows:
0.5 lb Ribs
1/2 – 1 scotch bonnet (depending on how spicy it is)
3 cloves garlic
1 thumb size ginger
2 knorr cubes
1/2 cup bbq sauce
2 tbsps honey
dash siracha (hot sauce)
In a blender, combine all ingredients together with a little water and pulse.
Pour ingredients over cleaned ribs and marinade for 24 hours or more. I marinated these for 48.
Turn oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Place ribs on foil and put in oven.
After about 30 minutes, the ribs begin to look like the above picture. Let it cook an additional 10-15 minutes until the meat starts pulling off the bone and it is cooked through.
Mix marinade ingredients together and brush on ribs.
Cook an additional 10 minutes.
When ribs are done, serve hot. Cut or eat whole. I had these with some taro chips. The spiciness and sweetness of the ribs come together so nicely. It was well seasoned and finger licking good.
