Pinafore Dress

It is time to look past the basics, and consider a new wardrobe staple – the pinafore dress. A pinafore dress is versatile and goes with just about anything, lending itself to an array of low-maintenance but still super put-together outfits. As long as you know what looks you are going for, pinafore dresses are easy closet items that can be put together in the snap of a finger.

Just like a good pair of jeans, a good pinafore dress comes in very handy too. I particularly love this one because of all the details it has. The back of this dress blows me away and the pockets keep me constantly in love.

I styled this dress a couple of months ago with a white t-shirt underneath. I knew I wanted to wear it again, in all its glory, so I decided to get rid of all my insecurities and wear this dress in its raw form. Nothing detracting or adding to its simplistic beauty.

Although I liked the previous look (as they are both very different and can be worn to different events in different environments), I also love the dress with nothing worn underneath.

I wore this look this time with a choker, which I believe is a great accessory to create more depth and edginess in this outfit. My natural hair also serves as an accessory that contributes to the vintage vibe of this dress.

I styled my pinafore dress with plain black heels. I love the overall edginess/sexiness of this dress. It is definitely one of those you walk down the street in, and heads start to turn at you.
