The pinup skirt

Pencil skirts are fast becoming my thing. I used to shy away so much from them because I am on the slim side, and they just do not flatter my figure or my body in general. However, I am slowly but surely giving in and learning to carry myself when I do wear them. I try to pair them with slimy looking tops or figure flattering tops, so that i am not looking super slim.

I know you all are like what is she even talking about? but I actually do take offence in being slim. I feel like people only take offence when someone is called fat, but to me it is the same gravity when someone says “oh you are so skinny”. Weird I know because a lot of people want to be skinny/slim and I am here scrambling for some extra flesh, even with all the food that I eat. Anyway, that is story for another day.

I really like this look because it gives away that vintage mature vibe and that’s definitely what I aim for with my looks these days. I love timeless pieces you can wear over and over again and pair with other separates.

I would wear this look to a book launch, lunch/dinner with friends, or to a semi-casual event. It is so comfy and flattering at the same time. It screams yes she’s young, but mature and classy (at least that’s what I think). These are the types of crops I die for 🙂

In todays post, I am wearing

Asos crop top (Old). I like these here, here, and here

Asos pencil pin up skirt (Old) I like these here and here

Zara shoes (Old)

Thank you for reading.

Lots of love,

The skirt is nice! From the material to the colour and design. The shoes are great, they perfectly match up the outfit. But then, in the third picture, just close to your knees.. (This is my problem with pencil skirt) the tear at the back looks disturbing, coming out on the side and all.
