Hey Style Lovers!!!
So last night was my close friends 21st, and the colour code was BLACK!!!!! Yes, that’s in capitals because unlike most people I actually hate all black. I don’t like black because I am tall and have a slim figure, so I think black makes me look more skinny and I don’t want to be skinny. I love fleshy girls lol. So I shy away from black as often as I can. When I heard about the dress code, I was really sad, not because it was black but because I thought I was going to go to a birthday dinner looking stupid. Last minute, I remembered I had a black Zara dress I recently bought about two months ago. So I pulled it out and tried to style it with other things to make it less plain. The best thing that went with it was another Zara top I bought a month or two ago too, how coincidental?
I needed a pop of colour to brighten this look, as I felt I was going to a funeral all dressed in black. My neon coloured wedges from asos seemed to be the perfect pair of shoes in my wardrobe right now. They sparked the outfit up so good, along with a purse that was just gifted to me. So basically felt brand new in this outfit 😉 My cousin came through for me with some make up (although I had to bribe her lol). She’s so talented with beating faces and I love love when she gets me all dolled up. How I wish I could beat my own face.
These pictures do not do my outfit and face justice, but I really just had to blog about my look. Below are a few selfies I could get away with, and full pictures of my outfit to the birthday dinner. Oh the dinner was at studio no7 downtown Atlanta. If you’re one who loves art like me, you will love this place. It’s a really chilled setting with nice art decor and some lovely music, food and drinks to go with. It is definitely a to go spot on a Friday night when you do not feel like going clubbing.
