Banana Bread


For my banana bread, you will need;

1 cup of granulated sugar

1 stick of unsalted butter (8 Tablespoons)

2 eggs

3 very soft bananas(It is always better when your banana is very ripe)

1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon

1 tablespoon of milk (You can also use powdered milk)

2 cups of flour

1 teaspoon of baking soda

1 teaspoon of baking powder

1 teaspoon salt


Preheat oven at 325degrees. In a bowl, mix your butter and sugar together until it is very fluffy. Then beat in the eggs, one at a time. In a separate bowl, mash two and a half bananas with a fork. Add in your milk and cinnamon to the mashed bananas. Then add this mixture to the butter sugar and egg mix, mixing till it is well blended in. After which you add all your dry ingredients (flour,baking soda/powder, and salt. Mix until the dry ingredients disappear. Pour your batter into a well prepared loaf pan. Slice the remaining half bananas (remember you used only two and a half), and put the slices around the corners. You can use an oven liner or use some butter to grease it. Bake for about an hour or until the middle is well done. You can use a toothpick to check this. Cool bread for about 20 minutes when done before turning it out. Ps: You can add in some walnuts or chocolate chips to your banana bread. It can be served with some warm custard, ice-cream or whipped cream, depending on preference.
